Alvin Tan defends his facebook vulgarity

Sex blogger hits out at IGP, Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Guan Eng while claiming Ali Abdul Jalil sought his advice to seek asylum.

In a Facebook posting, notorious sex blogger Alvin Tan defended his use of vulgarity saying that was the only way to grab a reader’s attention and convey the writer’s true state of mind.

Tan posted, “Why do we use “crude language” when trying to send a message? It’s simple: rudeness captures the attention so well that ignoring it becomes very difficult.

To be viral and widespread, one has to use unequivocal terms of condemnation to force people to take a second look.”

Resorting to this tried and tested method, Tan resorted to more vulgarity when in his latest post, he berated the Inspector General of Police for seeking Interpol’s assistance in tracking him down and arresting him.

Tan writes, “Damn IGP, you really suck. You can nab a bunch of well-respected, highly influential opposition leaders consistently and shut them up (e.g. notice how QUIET Tian Chua or Tony Pua has been lately?), but you let a bunch of nobody punks in their twenties ride your back continuously, and you simply CAN’T DO SHIT?”

He then attacked “the average Umno supporter” saying they did not even know what “asylum” meant and might even mistake it for a food item.

Tan also claimed to have “advised” student activist Ali Abdul Jalil about fleeing Malaysia and seeking asylum overseas as he himself had done. Saying he agreed with Ali Abdul for criticising Johor royalty, Tan left a few choice words regarding his personal feelings about the Sultan and provided a link to wikipedia on the issue.

Maintaining he was not an opposition supporter, he reminded readers that he also criticised DAP’s Lim Guan Eng who he said was treated “like a God” by many Chinese-educated Malaysians.

He wrote, “I’ll tell you what. I’m not anti-government, anti-opposition, pro-government, or pro-opposition. I’m simply pro-rights. Anyone who violates rights, I’ll criticize them.”

He also slammed Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Guan Eng as leaders “who love to say things simply because they are popular among the simple-minded people and to avoid saying unpopular things to avoid losing support.”

He was comparing them to Karpal Singh who he described as “fearless”.
