12 reports lodged on Sabah secession issue

KOTA KINABALU - Sabah police have received 12 reports on the controversial Sabah secession issue, according to Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman.

State police have set up a task force and are working with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to monitor the situation and activities that could potentially threaten national security.

"Sabah police have also prepared plans for any eventuality at rallies or processions in conjunction with Malaysia Day on Sept 16," he told reporters after the police monthly gathering here today.

He also issued a reminder to those who wished to organise rallies and processions to first obtain a permit from the police.
